The Fresh Spirulina is pressed, and will contain about 20% water. It is best enjoyed within a week of harvest. If you feel that you will not be able to finish up your jar, no worries, just make some balls, store them in a plastic bag or container and freeze them to be used another day. Easily toss one in your smoothie, and blend. Frozen fresh spirulina will last about eight months in the freezer. Fresh Spirulina’s consistency is a bit like cream cheese.

Tips: leave the top slightly open so the fresh spirulina can “breath” – it’s alive!
