Start fresh in the morning with our Detox Smoothie, which is an easy and delicious way to flush your body of toxins. Many of the ingredients are full of antioxidants, that are the body’s defense agents. They are chemical compounds that prevent aging and chronic diseases. The more you have, the better equipped your body is in the fight against infections and disease.

This smoothie recipe is simple to customize and perfect for breakfast or a snack.

1 cup dandelions greens or spinach or kale
1 apple (chop it up)
1/2 cup of pineapple
1/2 lemon
1/2 inch ginger – peeled and shredded
1 tsp matcha tea
1-3 tsp spirulina sprinkles
1 cup water
1 cup of ice
(optional: 1/2 banana or avocado – this is to help the texture and/or sweetness of the smoothie, which can separate quite a bit)

Detox Smoothie with SpirulinaAdd all ingredients to a blender and blend on high until smooth. If too thick, add a splash more water. For more sweetness or thickness, add extra banana.
